Paramedic Flash sells pharmacology flashcard sets to paramedics and EMTs studying for certification. The brand asked us for creative strategy and production for its Meta ads. We researched the audience, built concepts around how medics think and produced 18 creatives to find the formats that kept spending.
Paramedics and EMTs know their subject, and they have seen every “study smarter” ad before. Generic creative does not land with them. The brand needed a format that could cut through, spend consistently and keep working as we made new versions. Our research into reviews, competitors and student threads on Reddit pointed to one fear above the rest: freezing on a drug dose, in the exam or on a real call.
The strongest format was the scenario video. Each one opened in the middle of an emergency, such as “Can you spot 2 critical mistakes in this pediatric emergency?”, let the viewer work through the problem and then showed the reasoning gap the flashcards close. Instead of telling medics what the cards do, the ads showed what it feels like to almost get a drug dose wrong.
A second format opened with a polarizing or exaggerated statement that people wanted to answer. A third raised real friction in the paramedic and firefighter career path, such as shift patterns, certification pressure and the gap between training and the NREMT. Both drew strong engagement, so Meta showed them to more people at a lower cost.
We produced 18 creatives across these formats, and 6 of them became consistent spenders. The winners settled at around $250 a day each, on a total account budget of about $900 a day, so a handful of scenario videos carried most of the spend. Every new version built on the scenario format spent meaningful money, which gave Paramedic Flash a repeatable playbook instead of a single winning ad.
“Fifth Dimension have been a pleasure to work with. They have a strong understanding of e-commerce creative strategy and consistently bring thoughtful, practical ideas to the table. They communicate clearly, take ownership of their work, and are always focused on finding solutions and delivering strong results. They are reliable, easy to collaborate with, and genuinely care about the quality of the work. I’d highly recommend them to any brand looking for a skilled and dependable creative strategy agency.”
Yes. We learn the subject first, from your product, your reviews and the conversations your buyers have online. That research is how the Paramedic Flash ads came to open inside real emergency scenarios.
A winning format keeps spending money as we make new versions of it. For Paramedic Flash, 6 of the 18 creatives became consistent spenders, and each new scenario video spent meaningful money.
